Financial Services

Wayland offers and accepts many types of financial aid including the Federal Pell Grant, the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Perkins Loans, Stafford Loans, Military Tuition Assistance, and V.A. Educational Benefits. To qualify for aid, students must be officially admitted into the university and, with limited exceptions, enrolled as a regular student in an eligible program in order to receive financial aid. A regular student is one who is enrolled in a degree-seeking program or a certificate program offered by the university. Eligibility for some financial aid is further dependent upon a student’s full-time enrollment.

To discover what aid you qualify for, students should complete the FAFSA. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submitting it to the Federal Processing Center for evaluation establishes Federal and State aid eligibility. All students are encouraged to speed the processing of the FAFSA by submitting their application via the web at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be aware that the verification process may take up to 8 weeks to complete.

You may apply for financial aid online using this form. You may contact Wayland's Financial Aid Office with any questions by calling 806-291-3526 or emailing Karen LaQuey.
